(In the cycling sense, I hasten to add, not the British sense...)

Last night about halfway home I knew I hadn't eaten enough. As the ride went on I got shakier and slower, until finally making it home to chocolate. Then dinner. Then more chocolate.

I know it seems a little unrealistic to suggest that a 6 mile ride could make me hit the wall quite that hard, but this is a long way from the first time it's happened. It just hadn't happened for a while, so I'd forgotten how unpleasant it is! I am taking this as a sign that I am back to my fighting weight again.

Bring on the biscuits...
