Ubiquitous inspiration

I am just back from dconstruct 2009

As ever when I get back from dconstruct (I think this is my third) I am all fired up. This year it was all about designing for tomorrow, and featured a lot of talk about making the physical digital and digital physical.

I love it. I've been following Adam Greenfield's blog for a couple of years now. I've read his last book Everyware (I'll review in a day or two). It's all interesting and scary, and I want to be a part of it. It feels the same way I felt about the internet in 1995. I'm not sure what it is or could be really, but I am excited by it and don't know how to get into it.

But my Grandma always said if I put my mind to something I do it. And my parents say if I want something badly enough it tends to work out. So. I need to get determined and put my mind to it and get into this. And I need to do it in my spare time and do the job to keep the finances sorted.

If I'm excited enough, I can. I just need to keep remembering and focusing on that excitement.
