Completed Yoda

I did finish it, I really did. Here's the proof!

Fleece-lined Jumper Revisited

I did finish the yoda jacket, and i even have more pictures. But today I thought I probably ought to (finally) show off the finished fleece-lined jumper. I finished it in the summer, in time to wear it at cricket week, so I've been really remiss not to show it off!

Excuse the hair and the expression. I'm not totally sure what was going on with either!

The side view. Those little squares on the sleeves were to free up enough bright red to finish the sleeves! I had to buy some embroidery wool to sew up... Cut it way too close on this one.

And this one shows off the pattern. It worked. You can't see the fleece lining, but it's definitely there and cozy. I love that I can wear this over a tshirt and be toasty warm. Just what I was hoping for!

Yoda issues

I'm really close to finishing the Baby Yoda Jacket I'm knitting for GG's niece. Honestly though, it would be done if it wasn't for a little tiny screw up in the construction process.

yoda oops

Yeah. I managed to connect the two front pieces and attach a sleeve before I noticed. I was watching Lord of the Rings at the same time... Clearly distracted!

I did fix it though, and only a minimum of swearing.

yoda nearly finished

I finished sewing the sleeves on, and I've knitted the collar. Just got to do the side seams now and sew in the ends. Oh, and knit some i-cord. I'm quite tempted to chain stitch a little red flower or something on it too, but I probably won't.

I had a Christmas card from the recipients of the finished peapod jacket today too - apparently other mums ask where it came from! Bonus!

Oh, oh, look!

Interesting use of a Phidgets RFID tag and reader set over at Shifd.com. I'm still playing with taking our uni project further, and an RFID tagged phone could be used (apparently) in many ways.

Wish I'd made the Brighton Hack day. Bloody colds.

Chrismas amusement

Well, it's amused me anyway. Go see this Christmas card from me to you, click on things, come back and tell me it's a bit pants.

Code reused from Seb Lee-Delilse at Flash on the beach. Drawings done by me... I like my new graphics tablet. Yes.
